4 Ways to Make Money from Home for Free

Sometimes it can seem like all those ways to make money from home cost money too. If you’re really broke you may not have the cash to get things started. I know. I’ve been there. That’s why I wanted to offer you a few ways to make money from home for free.

How to Make Money from Home for Free

Let’s face it. It can be more difficult to make money from home for free than if you had a few dollars to invest in your new venture, but it is possible.

I’ve done it myself. Of course, if you do have a few dollars, and I mean even $20 or $30 to get started it can make things easier, but I’ll assume you don’t have even that much to spare.

So, here are a few ways to make money from home for free…

1. Grocery delivery service – You’d be surprised just how many people can’t get to a grocery store or don’t want to go. All you really need to get started in this business is a few flyers, a phone, and a car.

Granted, if you have flyers made, that might cost you a few dollars, but you can have copies made for a few pennies per copy.

If you can’t do that, you can actually handwrite them.

Regardless, once you have the flyers, put them up around town wherever they are allowed like grocery stores and senior centers.

Once you get rolling, you’ll want to buy something to keep things cold and hot in your car while you are delivering them, but you can buy those once you’ve made some money.

2. Have a garage sale – Depending on where you live, now might be a great time to have a garage or yard sale. I’m a big fan myself, but I’ll tell you unless you have something of value to sell, you’re not going to make a lot of cash.

Baby clothes and knickknacks are great, but you really need to dig a little deeper and find a few items that you can sell for $20 plus dollars to make it worth the time and work you’ll have to put into it.

Those dimes and quarters don’t add up to much, I’m afraid.

Of course, if you’re looking for a way to get a few dollars so you can put it into a business idea, then it might be worth it.

Maybe it’s time to consider selling off that comic book collection.

Whatever it is, I know you have a few things worth some money that you aren’t using or don’t really need.

Bonus Tip: If you want to really make money with a sale, then you need to get up out of your chair and go around and talk to people. Pretend you’re working in a retail store.

Say hello and ask them if you can help them or if they are looking for anything special.

Then leave them alone for a few minutes and then go back and strike up a conversation.

You’ll sell three times as much than if you just sit there and look at people.

3. Have your garage sale online – Of course, if you’re really not a people person, you can always have your garage sale online. eBay is the obvious choice. You can list 50 items for free, and make sure you charge for shipping.

Your shipping charge should cover the cost of the actual shipping and your shipping materials.

(You can use boxes and stuff you already have to ship your items, so you don’t actually have to buy anything.)

This works well if you have a few items that have some value or are just odd. People love odd things, and eBay is the place to sell them.

Also, it is a lot less work to sell a few handpicked items on eBay than to have a big garage sale.

4. Freelance writing – If your grammar is pretty good and you like to write then freelance writing is the way to go. You can get started for free. It just takes you a little time to get everything in place.

You should really stay away from the content mills and get your own clients. It isn’t all that hard, and truly in just a few days, or let’s say a week, you could have your own clients.

Just so you know, this is how I started as a freelance writer over five years ago.

There are many ways to make money from home for free.

You just need to do a little brainstorming and you’ll come up with something, or you can use one or more of these.
