If you’ve been using Board Booster to get traffic to your website from Pinterest or even if you’ve been thinking about using it you may be wondering how to get traffic to your blog from Pinterest now that it’s no longer in business.
If you have read anything you know Pinterest is a great way to get thousands or hundreds of thousands or even millions of people to your blog every month but it can also be a really time-consuming way to do so when you have to pin all day long.
Board Booster was one way to save a lot of time and effort and get your pins to the right boards at the right time.
From what I can tell, Board Booster wasn’t an approved Pinterest vendor, so they no longer allow pining from the site. In fact, if you have been using Board Booster to pin, you need to change your password, or you risk having your Pinterest account shut down and no one wants that!
How to Get Traffic to Your Blog
Chances are you have heard of Tailwinds. The upside to this service is that you can schedule pins ahead of time, so you don’t have to manually sit and pin all day long, because who in the world has time for that?
The bad part about Tailwinds is they don’t currently have a function to loop older pins to your boards and group boards. This is something that Board Booster did and people really loved.
The good news is that Tailwinds has this type of function in Beta right now, so hopefully it will be available to everyone soon. That will make it easier for you and me to loop pins as the big bloggers do. It is really the secret they use to get the massive Pinterest traffic that they get.
Anyway, Trailwinds does allow you to try it out for free. You can schedule 100 pins. They also have what is called Tailwind Tribes. I really like these. You add a pin to a tribe and other people in the tribe will share or repin those pins. It can really add to your reach.
Most tribes have rules like you have to pin one pin for each that you add. It isn’t a big deal and it really helps you share the pin love.
How to Get Traffic to Your Blog – Pinteresting Strategies
In this system, you do pin manually, but in a really interesting and unique way. The creator of this system and ebook went from 0 page views a month to 200,000 page views a month from Pinterest a month in just a few months.
It really doesn’t take a lot of time, and I use this for pinning my own pins while I use Tailwinds for pinning other people’s pins.
I figure this gives me the best of both worlds. I’m pinning high-quality pins from other people like Pinterest and my followers like, but I’m not spending a lot of time doing so because Tailwinds does it for me.
Then I do spend a bit of time each day manually pinning my own pins using Pinteresting Strategies, so I get that manual pinning that Pinterest also likes done each day.
Once the beta version of looping is up and running on Tailwinds, I might try that as well, but I will always continue to do some manual pinning using the Pinteresting Strategies as well, and I think you should too, but that’s up to you.
Using these two methods is how to get traffic to your blog without spending a huge amount of time doing so.
I think you’ll be glad you did. If you do try them, leave a comment and let me know how it is going for you. I’d love to hear!
